2015-04-17 - Emma online issue

Since the last release all Emma clients communicate via both http and https. Previously Emma clients (not using the activation service) only communicated over http. In order to secure your operations and to be able to use Emma in online mode please make sure both http (port 80) and https (port 443) traffic are allowed in your firewall. The Emma client communicates on ports 80 and 443 towards the below domain names: software.sonymobile.com cssemla.extranet.sonyericsson.com Below is an https test URL that you could use from a browser: https://software.sonymobile.com/ess-distribution/public/api/ping If you are not able to browse this page most likely your firewall is blocking the traffic and the Emma client will end up in offline mode.
